The Mundo Maya Organization (MMO) is a regional body, established on August 13, 1992, by Belize, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras, countries where the Maya culture flourished. Honduras holds the pro tempore presidency from 2022 to 2023.
Its primary purpose is to coordinate, assist, and promote the tourism, cultural, and environmental development of the region where the Maya civilization flourished.
In accordance with the provisions of its Constitutive Agreement, the order of the rotation for the delivery of the Pro Tempore Presidency and technical coordination of the Mundo Maya Organization will be carried out in alphabetical order based on the names of the member states.
